We ate on our way to Hamburg. Interesting atmosphere of American South. Food is not bad, onion rings and ribbs are really good, salads and burgers are ok, kids burger was extremely dry.

Edit: I'm all for second chances, so we tried the place again and it was brilliant. We will be back. Picture: country burger with fries. Highly recommended unless you don't like raw onions or raw peppers. On my second visit to this place we stood up and left after waiting for more than one hour and then getting the impression that our order had been lost. And instead of apologizing the waiter got smart with us, saying that if we knew so much about running a restaurant we should do it. ... The place was almost empty. I would actually rate them zero stars.

Our child was having a bathroom emergency, and Don’s Diner happened to be the first place we found off the A7 due to road closures. Unfortunately our child didn’t quite make it, but the staff at Don’s Diner were polite and courteous as we got our child cleaned up and into fresh clothes, and helped us clean up our mess. Even gave cookies to my other child while we waited. Obviously we never intended to cause such a fuss but I’m quite happy that Don’s staff was understanding. We’ve all had bad days, and it’s nice that my child’s bad day was made better by Don’s. Thanks again!

Just off the main highway route through, turn off the you will find this great little diner, I saw a few motorbikes outside & the car park was full too. So decided to stop, I checked into the hotel next door. Then popped in for a couple of beers, the menu is all USA style, with a nice selection, I ordered Don's Chilil, steak (chunky) fries and small salad, now this is where the similarities with the US are also the same, the portions are BIG!! The food was great, the service too. The place was packed out and I really enjoyed it, the decor was cool and the whole place fun. Great place..

Found this place through its excellent reviews. Awesome place to go for dinner. Very friendly staff. Nice items on the menu. Decent portions. Free good WiFi. Food tasted good. Not the best ribs I've ever had but certainly good. Schnitzel was really good and nice size and thick. Full bottles of mayonaise and ketchup on the table, nothing like paying a euro for a tiny drop of sauce. Loved their banana beer. If you like sweet beer and bananas, you've got to try it. Food was delivered very fast. Lots of free parking out front. Can definitely recommend this place. Card payments possible including credit cards, but no American Express.
